Its pretty sad to watch a once beautiful lawn slowly turn brown and die. Or whenever someone spends hundreds of dollars on a flowerbed only to see the plants wilt and become crusty (I really did just say crusty didn't I?). It's seems like such a waste, doesn't it? And it could have easily been avoided.
All the plants needed was a little water. Just a few minutes of intentionally pouring liquid goodness in the soil so that it can be soaked up by the roots and taken by the plant to the areas that need it most.
What in your life needs watering? Have you started reading a favorite book and put it down because you ran out of time? Did you meet someone at church and haven't taken the time to call them or text them and see how they are doing? Have you trusted Jesus and somehow forgotten that His Word needs to fill your life?
Just a few minutes will make an incalculable difference in your life.
Right now make a list of all your To Do's. Be sure to include your Spiritual life in there too. Look at the list and see what things have been consistently neglected. Make sure to reading your bible daily is on the list.
Whenever we neglect the important things we are left "wilting". Be revived by God's Word and become "a tree planted by streams of water."
